- Compliance: Every task performed by our company must be carried out according to industry standards, as well as the rules, guidelines, and regulations laid down by state and federal authorities.
- Protection: Our service team must wear personal protective equipment while actively working on doors or door equipment. This includes gloves, helmets, safety glasses, proper footwear, reflective vests, and hearing protection.
- Training: In addition to their courses on doors and door products, all Vortex employees must complete classes on workplace safety and industry best practices in order to ensure they are aware of and can effectively respond to potential hazards.
- Communication: All unsafe behavior, conditions, and events must be reported immediately to team leaders. In addition, our leaders foster an environment where employees feel comfortable discussing safety concerns with their supervisors.
- Improvement: Regularly reviewing our policies and procedures allows us to strengthen safety precautions with new technologies and techniques. Our managers observe working conditions, solicit feedback, and gather suggestions from employees to mitigate risk and ensure the safety of our employees and the public.
- Responsibility: Safety is everyone’s priority and responsibility at Vortex. Maintaining and promoting a safe work environment is part of everyone’s job, no matter their title or seniority.
